Canyons

The Canyon photographs emphasize the geometry of the Financial District, with skyscrapers rising on either side of narrow streets.  By pointing the camera up, Abbott creates a perspective that emphasizes the monumental scale of the new structures, but that can also convey a sense of claustrophobia.
